We took family photos! And no one was blinking! Or crying! Or picking their nose!

by Jo on December 11, 2012

Our family had a photo session last Saturday and thanks to our amazingly talented and patient photographer – Melody Calvert - we ended up with a a bunch of pictures where we’re all looking at the camera. At the same time!!

Taking great pictures of a special needs family can be challenging but Melody truly made it seem effortless. She was so thoughtful and really wanted to make sure that Andrew was comfortable and safe, which made us all very happy.

And she captured that happiness perfectly, don’t you think?

I absolutely LOVE this picture. It captures the way we feel about Andrew perfectly. He works so hard to communicate with us and we are over the moon about his continued progress. Photo courtesy Melody Calvert Photography

The family that laughs together, stays together, and we laugh a lot. Photo courtesy Melody Calvert

If you’re in the Orange County area, I can’t stress enough how fabulous Melody Calvert is. We’ve found our family photographer and I can’t wait to book our next session!

The photog did a great job and was so patient with Andrew, who was in a great mood that day. The stars were aligned……

I don’t know if you’ve already gotten a Blog of the Year 2012, but even if you have, you can get lots of these and each time, you just add another star. So here’s a star for your walk of fame — http://teepee12.wordpress.com/2012/12/15/blog-of-the-year-2012/ — on this strange morning.
