Good Morning Everyone!
This is Andrew, Jo’s nine year old son. I just wanted to stop by and let you know how she’s doing today.
She’s tired.
Super tired.
I woke her up at 2 this morning and refused to go back to sleep.
She tried everything! She sang to me, rubbed my back, gave me kisses, begged, threatened, ignored me….but I just kept laughing, bouncing on the bed, crawling on her head, drumming on her arms and legs and generally annoying the crap out of her.
She had to chase me down the dark hallway when she realized I had gotten a hold of her cell phone and put in a call around 4 am to her new Gyno’s office.
I know.
I’m a stinker.
She was finally able to get some sleep around 5 am, and had a dream that she gave me up for partial adoption to the lady who played Steve Carrell’s girlfriend in The 40-Year-Old Virgin. She woke up very sad and felt super guilty and gave me lots of kisses and made me a yummy breakfast and gave me more kisses and told me she loved me like a thousand times even though she can barely see straight and keeps chewing on espresso beans.
Sucker.
But with a face like this, who could blame her?
Don’t you just love the guilt trip kids can put on us! I yell you what it’s the best part of being a parent!

Hi Andrew!! This is Sam, Roxanne’s 3-year-old son.
I woke up SIX times last night, and at one point it was just to tell my mama that her earring was on the floor, and I had picked it up for her. I know she appreciated that very much.
Anyway, I kept trying to snuggle with her, even though it was like 88 degrees in the house, but for some reason she just kept trying to put me back in my bad. Then I slept on the floor next to her bed for awhile, but she woke up and caught me playing with the DVD shelf. Oops. He he.
Tonight, I’ll try to get ahold of her phone, and maybe we can chat! Since we’re both up and all … you could teach me some new tricks, and I’ll tell you all about mine 😉
